The beans are a highly nutritious food and this is reflected in the fact that it is on the base of the Mediterranean pyramid. That means that beans are among the foods that should be consumed with great frequency. Beans are also a very good source of dietary fibers. After about 2 months, the harvesting of dried beans begins. Harvesting should be done when the lobes are yellowed. Then they stay for drying and are threshed by machinery. The yield of dried beans is 3.000-6.000 kg per hectare and for green beans is 8.000-1.600 kg per hectare.
